New Year’s Eve in Japan 2010

By Donnie | Articles

So it’s December 31, 2010. The New Year is nearly here!! I spent the day eating as much junk food as I possibly could: donuts, chocolate, and all other kinds of junk. Needless to say, I have definitely had my fill, because tomorrow, it’s back to the exercise/eating drawing board. It’s been a pretty good year for exercise and all that stuff, but I want to see just how fit I can be…I’ll start tomorrow. As for tonight…I’m not going to Shibuya or Shinkjuku to one of the many clubs in the big city. I’m going to spend some time with some friends at a house party here in Tsukuba. Every year Japan has K-1 Dynamite, where the strongest fighters clash at the end of the year. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the matches. I don’t know whether to watch that or the “Batsu Game” an end-of-year show from my favorite Japanese comedy program (Downtown). I am excited because I wholeheartedly expect 2011 to be mind-bogglingly better than 2010. I’m not going to think about jobs, or apartments, or any of that stuff. Today, I am just going to enjoy some time with some good friends and worry about next year…next year.

Be safe out there, everybody. I look forward to writing the first post of the new year.

See you next year!
