Okay, so it’s taken me a while to do this, but I finally finished it. Is it perfect? No. But it tells you more about who I am, where I’m from, where I went to school, you know…the basics. I included some pretty challenging struggles that I’ve learned from along the way. If you have some time please check it out:

I hope that by reading this you’ll get to learn a little bit more about me. It’s also my hope that someday I can use thejapanguy.com to foster and build some great relationships with some cool people. As always, thank you so much for taking the time to visit.

    Hi Donald
I just finished watching the interview with you and Amanda Taylor. It was great hearing her tips on getting to Japan. I have recently made the decision to venture off to Japan and have been doing my research. I stumbled on to you site because it recent information which is of much help to me. However, Amanda and you have very different situation than me. You see, I am bringing my son, who will be 12 this year. I am very interested in Japanese culture and we thought we might just vacation there but then I thought why not just live there for a bit. It would give my son a better perspective and he could soak in a lot of culture as well. We are taking Japanese lessons here already although we’re slowly coming along. You guys seem to be single without kids. Do you have any advice or recent websites with information about single parents moving with kids. Thanks

      BMamba,

I am really glad you posted your comment. Yeah, you’re absolutely right, I am single with no kids, and I’m pretty sure Amanda is, too. I know there are many people who have the exact same questions about moving to Japan if they have kids. I honestly haven’t come across many people who have been in your same boat, but now that you’ve asked, I’m a man on a mission. I will try to find someone who can help. Sorry I don’t have an exact answer for you right now, but I’m on it. I’ll keep you updated!

    Greetings:

Glad to read that you’re alright. I’m a bit surprised to learn that you’re staying as apparently a whole lot of folk bugged out on the first thing smoking.

You are one of a very few commentator’s on the black man’s experience in Asia. I have started a podcast on that very topic. Your opinion of my production would be most welcome. Please listen. Thank you.
