I wanted to show you my first attempt at preparing ginnan. The stovetop method didn’t work very well for me at all. Some of the seeds flew (explosively so) out of the pan. Unfortunately I didn’t get the explosions on camera (next time ). In the end the microwave method worked best for me. It was a good way to gauge that most of the popped open. Let’s take a look:
